“God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew.” —Romans 11:2, NKJV

“I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” —Romans 11:4, NKJV

Elijah believed he was the last faithful servant of God. From his perspective, the nation had abandoned the Lord, and he stood alone. But God gently corrected him: there were seven thousand others who had remained faithful.

Paul used that account to remind believers that God always preserves a remnant. No matter how dark the culture becomes or how small the faithful seem, God is still at work. His people are never alone, even when they feel isolated.

The same is true today. Faithfulness is not measured by numbers but by obedience. God sees those who quietly trust Him, stand for His truth, and refuse to compromise.

Personal application: Have you ever felt like the only Christian in your workplace, school, neighborhood, or family? Take heart. God is still building His church, strengthening His people, and preserving a faithful remnant. Stand firm in Christ. You may feel outnumbered, but you are never abandoned, and God is always accomplishing His purposes.
