“But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” — John 4:14 (NKJV)
At Jacob’s well, a Samaritan woman came seeking water to satisfy her physical thirst. But Jesus saw a far deeper need: a parched soul experiencing a spiritual drought that only He could cure.
The world offers endless cisterns that leave us empty, but Jesus offers a wellspring that never runs dry.
Oswald Chambers wrote: “Keep right at the Source, and out of you will flow rivers of living life… We are to be centers through which Jesus can flow as rivers of living water, blessing everyone.”
True spiritual vitality isn’t about storing up grace like a stagnant reservoir—it’s about becoming an artesian well. When you drink deeply from Christ, His life, joy, and peace naturally overflow to refresh the parched lives around you.
Personal Application: Are you feeling spiritually dry or drained today? Return to the Source. Spend time in His presence, drink deeply of His Word, and let His irrepressible life overflow into the lives of those around you.
